Steeple Bumpstead Junipers
Who's Who

Triss Pollington - Junipers Leader

Triss (Theresa) Pollington has been the leader of Junipers since 1999, and has done a great job with the group. Under her influence we have put on the show Sweeny Tod, with just the younger ones taking on all the roles. We have written and produced a film and are doing another one. We have been involved in the pantomimes, being chorus and having our own scenes. Theresa's whole family have done a huge amount for Junipers and Players with her husband Simon becoming lighting and sounds manager this year. Both her children are in Junipers as well. Triss has done wonders for Junipers and she does it all in her free time.

Michelle Rolfe - Juniper Helper

Michelle has been in Junipers since 1995. The first show she saw of Players was Mother Goose in 1993 which made her want to join. The first show she was in was Beauty and the Beast being within the chorus. Over the years Michelle has played many different rolls going from a mop to a bossy police officer. The last few years have seen Michelle become involved in the running of Junipers, helping Triss and Steph with paper work and being there on the rehearsal nights. She also runs the website. At the moment she is re-directing a play with Players for a local drama festival.

Steph Manning- Junipers Leader

Steph has been involved in Junipers since 1991 when it started. That year the whole of Junipers had their own scene in the pantomime Robinson Crusoe. She was also involved with Steeple Bumpstead Players before even the idea of Junipers was thought of. Her very first roll within Players was the crystal fairy who brings on Cinderella glass slippers and she went on to take the roll of Cinderella in the same pantomime in 2003. Her first principal girl roll was Jill in mother goose in 1993.

The whole of Stephs family have been involved in Steeple Bumpstead Players and Junipers over the years.

Steph says her favourite person she has played is Beauty in Beauty and the Beast.

She has been married 8 times to many different people through-out all the shows, some even twice!

Steph directed the last pantomime Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood and has now written and will be directing a new musical called Polished! with the Junipers.
